For years, in Cabo San Lucas, you’ve helped us bring our Way Cool Smiles Program to children who were hiding their smiles. You’ve seen how fear and shame can be passed down like a heavy inheritance, keeping families trapped in embarrassment. Together as Way Cool Angels, we’ve watched God break those chains, one “Fiesta Dentista” at a time.
Recently, God called us to a new shore: Cebu, Philippines. As we walked through these communities, our hearts broke to see the exact same look in the eyes of the children there—the fear of smiling, and the lack of resources. In fact, even worse, adults whose teeth hurt, simply have their teeth removed, rather than repaired! God asked us to bring the light of his love and care to this new corner of the world.
At our Fiesta Dentista, the “scary” doctor’s office becomes a place of wonder. Imagine the joy of a child who, instead of trembling in a waiting room, is giving a friend a foot massage, dancing, or watching with fascination as a warm, patient, and kind Dentist cleans a sibling’s teeth.
The miracle doesn’t stop with the children. These fiestas have touched the hearts of the parents, the families, the church, and the entire community.
When these children look in the mirror and are finally proud to smile, they aren’t just seeing healthy teeth—they are seeing God’s light reflected back at them.
Our hope is that these special visits will create a lifetime of care, allowing these children to be proud to smile, and build their confidence.
Most importantly, we believe that through these actions, everyone involved will see God and open their hearts to His light in their lives.
